Careers in Finance

Financial career opportunites can be found across a broad spectrum of business sectors including investment and commercial banking, financial services, insurance, commerce and industry and the public sector. Careers in finance can be both financially rewarding and intellectually challenging but also require significant commitment to both work and study.

You will typically need to be a graduate with a good degree to have a career in finance, but not necessarily one in a finance related discipline. Financial institutions provide in house training and education to recruits or sponsor them to take professional qualifications.

Typical professional qualifications to help you get a start or develop a career in finance include the CIMA Professional Qualification and the Chartered Financial Analyst ® designation.
